ANYWHERE BUT HERE: A SHORT HORROR STORY TO RELEASE MAY 23, 2017 Have you ever woken in the middle of a dream only to find it isn’t over? A place where reality and fantasy become blurred. When sleep becomes torment, could you close your eyes?
CONCORD, N.C. (April 6, 2017) – Franklin/Kerr Press is pleased to announce the release of Award-Winning and Amazon Bestselling Horror Author Jordon Greene’s first foray into the world of short stories with Anywhere But Here: A Short Horror Story, to be released on May 23, 2017. Anywhere But Here is a literal nightmarish story that follows Taren Evan’s confrontation with sleep paralysis, a disorder which wakes Taren from his dreams but renders him incapable of moving while they continue to play out in the real world around him.
Just as he did in his most recent horror release To Watch You Bleed, Jordon weaves a daunting story that’s all-too-possible. He takes us into the mind of Taren Evans as he’s thrust into a dream world that’s grafted atop the real world, captured by a horrifying inability to do anything about his situation. As the story’s tag line asks, when sleep becomes torment, could you close your eyes?
The short story releases May 23, 2017 on eBook and in paperback. The eBook version will be exclusive to Amazon Kindle for $0.99, including the Kindle Unlimited Program where members can read for free. The paperback version will be available at $4.99 from most major online retailers. The short story is currently available for pre-order on Amazon Kindle.
Anywhere But Here follows the release of Jordon’s first psychological horror thriller To Watch You Bleed, an Amazon Bestselling Horror which released in January. Watch the trailer: Here

Hi guys!! Later this week I’ll be giving you my analysis of some of characters I’ve been enjoying recently. Ryan Lock, Mitch Rapp, and Scott Harvath penned by Sean Black, Vince Flynn and Brad Thor respectively. I’ll be weighing on character similarities, differences, writing styles and use of setting. Great books!! I’m looking forward to sharing the reviews and posting them so be on the lookout.

I began this trilogy July of last year (2016) and really enjoy Kristen’s debut book. It’s been a while since then and she has released the final two books already!! So needless to say, I’ve got some catching up to do. Check out the blurbs, reviews and views here about the Alpha Drive.

It’s the year 2055 and an anarchist organization has taken control with the aim to create a world-class society. Half of humankind is unknowingly living in an alternate reality called Dormance . . . and there are no plans to wake them up.
Sixteen-year-old introvert Emery Parker is one such dormant. An academic scholar who avoids ruffling feathers at all costs, Emery finds herself being transferred to a boarding school on the outskirts of Arizona. Little does she know, a family secret has the power to change the course of the future. When she’s approached with an opportunity to free the dormants, she sees no other choice but to accept, even though failure could mean having her memory wiped clean.
But when tech-savvy Torin Porter reaches out to her from the other side, Emery begins to question everything she was told about Dormance. If her family’s secret falls into the wrong hands, the world as she knows it will be faced with irreversible consequences. Now Emery must play both sides to uncover the truth about her family’s past or risk leaving mankind to live in an unconscious reality.
Kristen Martin knocks it out of the park with the first book in the Alpha Drive trilogy. It’s full of mysterious intrigue and kept me turning the pages until the very end. The concept, idea, premise and overall story is compelling and unique. Looking forward to reading the second installment: The Order of Omega.

Certainty is a fickle thing, and it doesn’t play nice. As her world crumbles around her, Emery Parker must continue on her journey to save those she loves—all while coming to terms with her past and the overwhelming power her family’s secret holds.
Emery’s choice to participate in The Alpha Drive initiative came with its risks and challenges—this she knew. But after confiding in Torin Porter and secretly working alongside the Seventh Sanctum, things have only become more unclear. As Emery fights to maintain control, the grey area between betrayal and allegiance grows larger, and the clarity she thought she had diminishes as the search for the truth develops in complexity. In a time of full-fledged uncertainty, Emery must fully embrace her past, even if doing so may mean losing everything—and everyone—she ever loved.

The world that Emery Parker grew up in no longer exists—she’d made sure of that. Adjusting to a new lifestyle is no easy feat, but Emery is more than ready to leave the past behind. With the promise of a fresh start and a new beginning, it is a place where she can finally let go of all her painful memories and replace them with better ones.
But Emery’s new reality is more unsettling than she ever could have imagined. The sustainability of this world is at risk, and it’s up to her to find the solution. To do this, she must follow her intuition and put aside any feelings of guilt and uncertainty, even if it means betraying someone close to her. Once again, Emery must search for new truths and question old ones at the expense of the ones she loves, all while facing conflicting choices about life, death, and love

Hello book lovers!! Here’s another one of my quirky topical concepts called Books and Blurbs to satisfy my creative needs. It amounts to everything related to books, authors, impressions, trilogies, to be read, or currently reading. So, the first book is….

This is the 4th book I’ve read (still reading) by this author. Cyberstorm, Nomad and Sanctuary were all awesome! Mather is a great author with a vivid imagination who really knows how to put it on the page.
The Atopia Chronicles, the first in the Atopia series, is a stunning read. The concept, technology, and futuristic use of virtual reality blew my socks off. Mather’s skill in this realm is truly original and unique. I can’t wait to finish and begin the second book, The Dystopia Chronicles (Atopia Series Book 2)
I often toggle between reading and listening so when I’m finished I’ll also do a review of the narrator and audiobook production.

“A terrifyingly realistic, prescient new series … which can only be described as prophetic.” – G. Michael Hopf, best selling author of The New World Series
All Empires Collapse Eventually and America is No Exception.
From best selling author Bobby Akart, The Loyal Nine is a gripping novel of an America teetering on the edge of economic and societal collapse.
With social unrest sweeping the country, Europe on the brink of war and the U.S. economy under siege by foreign nations, a new threat emerges. The nation is caught in the crosshairs of a power struggle between wealthy oligarchs and the political leaders who claim to have the country’s best interests at heart.
As the collapse events escalate, enter The Loyal Nine – direct descendants of the Founding Fathers, a modern day Knights Templar whose mission is to protect America, and the republic, from those who would inflict tyranny upon her.
But will America be destroyed from within? Conditions of war are building and they do not involve bullets and bombs. There is a new battleground – cyberspace. As the country descends into decline economically and socially, will America be caught off guard by a threat never before experienced – a devastating Cyber War?”
Praise for The Boston Brahmin Series and the Authors
“A cracking great start to an epic new series that is going to have many, many loyal followers.” – Murray McDonald, best selling author of America’s Trust and The God Complex
“A terrifyingly realistic, prescient new series … which can only be described as prophetic.” – G. Michael Hopf, best selling author of The New World series and former Marine.
“A political thriller for our times!” – Joseph Souza, award winning author of Unpaved Surfaces
“The Loyal Nine is a rare combination of gripping and realistic action scenes together with a narrative rich in historical detail …”
– R. E. McDermott, Author of The Dugan Thrillers
“The authors spend a good portion of book one setting up the collapse scenarios. They grounded their narrative in current-day events, then took them to the next level.” – David Bruns, Author and U.S. Navy Veteran
“Bobby Akart can write! I’m so looking forward to his upcoming novels. He’s a writer to watch!” – A R Shaw, Author of the Graham’s Resolution series.
“Interesting and original. ‘Ripped from the headlines’ doesn’t begin to describe the excellence in this writing.” – Amazon Top 500 Reviewer
Fans of Brad Thor (Scot Harvath series), Matthew Mather (Cyberstorm), A. G. Riddle (Atlantis Mystery) and Dan Brown (DaVinci Code) will revel in this epic saga steeped in historical relevance.
Book Two in The Boston Brahmin series, Cyber Attack, is now available for on Amazon

All Empires Collapse Eventually and America is No Exception. I can’t get this statement out of my head. Probably because it’s true. Just follow history. ALL empires eventually collapse and come to an end. To think otherwise is just being willfully blind or plain naive.
The Loyal Nine is a very interesting book to say the least. It’s about nine powerful, wealthy Bostonians who are the descendants of the Founding Fathers and linked to the Sons of Liberty.
I find it stunning how realistic this could become one day. Foreign cyberattacks (which is already happening) societal collapse, political gridlock. It’s all too real. But the Loyal Nine are more than prepared for the inevitable.
The Loyal Nine is just the springboard for all of the future books in the Boston Brahmin series. Can’t wait to see what future the books behold!

From USA Today best selling author Nicholas Sansbury Smith comes another harrowing story of survival in a post-apocalyptic world.
The end of the world is just the beginning of the hunt…
Estes Park Police Chief Marcus Colton and tracker Sam ‘Raven’ Spears have never liked one another, but when a young girl goes missing in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colton hires Spears to help find her. Their search ends after a night of devastating horror. When word reaches Estes that the nation has been hit by a coordinated electromagnetic pulse attack, Colton and Spears are forced to work together again. But they quickly realize they aren’t just tracking a killer–they are tracking a madman. As the United States descends into chaos, the hunters become the hunted.
Halfway across the country, Senator Charlize Montgomery awakes to find the nation’s capital has gone dark. Forced to set off on foot, she treks across a city that has woken to a new world, and as the night progresses, she learns the EMP attack was just the beginning

An alarmingly realistic thriller
An alarmingly realistic thriller by Nicholas Sansbury Smith! He tackled not only a realistic threat, but also an amazing plotline. It almost seemed like two stories interwoven with great skill. Scary, intriguing, and very entertaining! Two siblings. A brother and sister from different parts of the country. One wacky serial killer on the loose in the midst of a national crisis.
Characters were believable and made it an entertaining read. One was an ex-military guy with native american background. I found this one rather refreshing from the usual types.
Can’t wait for the next one!
